**A Prayer for the Faithless
Inspired by James 1:1–18 (KJV)**
Inspired by James 1:1–18 (KJV)**
O Lord God,
Father of lights, from whom every good and perfect gift comes,
we come before You on behalf of those who feel faithless,
those tossed like waves upon the sea,
those who doubt, who struggle, who cannot see their way.
You know their trials, their heaviness, and their hidden battles.
Your Word teaches that the trying of faith works patience.
So we ask that even in their unbelief,
You would let endurance take root in them—
that they may become whole and lacking nothing.
Grant them wisdom, Lord—
For You give liberally and upbraid not.
Even when their faith falters,
stretch forth Your hand and steady their hearts.
Where their trust is weak, strengthen it.
Where their hope is dim, rekindle it.
Where their minds are troubled, bring Your peace.
Keep them from the temptations that arise from their own desires.
Let not sin take hold, nor death have any victory over them.
Instead, draw them toward the crown of life
which You have promised to those who love You.
Remind them that You are not the author of temptation,
but the giver of every perfect gift.
Let them see Your goodness in the land of the living.
Let them know that You have begotten them by the word of truth,
that they may walk in newness and light.
And for all who feel far from You,
speak to them gently, Lord.
Call them back.
Lift their eyes.
Restore their faith.
Make them steadfast, unmovable,
and anchored in Your unchanging love.
In the name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.
