We Are The Martin's
My mother was saved by The Lord Jesus Christ in 1972 when I was just 5 years old. So, I have been in church almost my whole life. Yonii, on the other hand, was the firstborn to loving Christian parents. With a father in church leadership, Yonii knew what ministry meant and lived with the long hours on Sundays and the extended counseling sessions. So we grew up on the fear and admonition of The Lord.
Our lifelong experience with the church runs deep, and although we have always known that we had it in us, it never manifested as a desire to be pastors or even to be in church leadership. But as time went by, we began to develop a heart of love and compassion for not just the people we attended church with every week, but for all people and the destinations of their eternal souls.
Fast forward: we met, became friends, and were married seven years later. After 27 years of marriage and two beautiful adult daughters, we found ourselves facing a big decision. Either do what we have always done and continue to serve inside the church, or follow what our spirits have always yearned to do, which is live what was left of our lives by the leading of The Holy Spirit, full stop.
After years of prayer and preparation, we heard the Lord and obeyed, packing up everything we owned and moving to Texas. Now, after six months of surveying the land, we have decided to launch this vision, hoping to reach everyone we can with the love of God and the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We will use technology to find and harvest souls for Jesus Christ.
